No, please observe the difference between {{img.png}} and {{img.png }}.

The former integrates into the text like an ordinary character. Referring to the former, I think that Freddys suggestions work fine, but my original question was about the latter.

The latter left-aligns the image, and the text flows around it. Breaking free of such flowing early (i.e. before the text reaches the bottom of the image) is not possible with standard DokuWiki syntax, and thus the solution by Andreas is required.
