I use Dokuwiki to hold code snippets that I need to copy and paste into editors of various types, and I was wondering if I’m overlooking some useful technique. Basically, the two options I’ve come up with are - Put the snippet into the text of the page itself, using <code></code> wrappers. This makes it easy to modify the code, but some of the snippets are fairly long and it’s a bit of a pain to select the text for copying. - Put the snippet into a text document linked to the page. This makes it easier to copy, since it would pop up in Notepad, but a real nuisance to modify. I’ve been going with the first option. The code should, in theory, not change very often; but experience tells me that it does. Am I overlooking some option?
