[dokuwiki] "Failed" message when using new media-manager

Hi all,
I tried uploading some files through the new media manager (DokuWiki
version of 2011-10-03). When I'm trying to upload some pdf file (>500kb)
they message "Failed" comes up after the upload process reaches the 100 %.
I created a small pdf file for testing purpose, the upload process working fine
with it.
What could cause this?
