Hi, I think there is no secure way how to manage data stored on a disk or in a database because the design of OS. As far as I know, there is a just one way how to secure them = setup your own server where you are the only administrator. (It is overkill, I know) An easier solution could be to set an regular update of the files. Put backup files to another (secure) machine like your own notebook. Simple solution: scp -r user@server:dokuwiki/data backups/`date` Then you are able to restore your data. Izidor P.S: I think it is paranoid to not believe system admins at your university.
