Hi,
I still suspect that ACLs can solve your problem.
As I understood it, he want´s to display part of a page that is private to
external use. In that case, I don´t believe ACL could solve it, as it acts
on pages and namespaces, and not on parts of a partilucar page.
In this case, I suggest using the ifauth plugin:
http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:ifauth
We are using it successfully for hiding parts of a page.
