[dokuwiki] Can LDAP provide authorization?

Hello all.
I have a couple of questions, but the second one depends on the answer
of the first, etc. So, one at a time... (sorry for the noise)
After reading the documentation for the LDAP Authentication back end
(http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:auth:ldap), I just wanted to confirm
my interpretation with the rest of the (more experienced) crowd.
I can only use the LDAP server for DokuWiki authentication, and not
for authorization, correct?
