Hello Björn,

it would be easier, if you could attach the code you've written so far.

Regards
Matthias

Subject: [dokuwiki] Attempting to create plugin; can't even get the example
syntax plugin to work

Hello,
I've carefully readthrough the guides on plugin-making and eventually used the
wizard to create a plugin that should substitue "Hello World!" for "<TEST>" in
my wiki installation (the example syntax plugin was my reference, and the
wizard provided the necessary filestructure).
However, it doesn't work. I'm at a loss to find out what's wrong.
Info:
- Using Release 2013-05-10a "Weatherwax" on an Ubuntu machine that I think runs
Apache (not my server, so I'm not completely certain)
- The plugin is active according to the plugin manager.
- This has been my main guide, along with almost every article it links
directly to: https://www.dokuwiki.org/devel:syntax_plugins#handle_method
- I've checked all the file permissions against other plugins, so problem
shouldn't be there.

This is my first time using php (though experienced in various other
languages), so I'm kinnda thinking I've made a rookie mistake. That said I've
quadruplechecked every single line I've written (which isn't that many) and
made sure I didn't miss any FIXMEs left by the plugin creation wizard.
Are there any known issues I should be aware about with either the version or
the documentation surrounding plugins? Any other ideas based on my sketchy
description?
Regards,
Björn
