One way to use Flash with DirectMusic is by using the Widesounds ActiveX control (DMX Control) which is included on the cd-rom that comes with the book DirectX 9 Audio Exposed. To build .exe-files from Flash files you can use SWF-Kit by TopCMM (www.swfkit.com). SWF-Kit lets you combine Flash with ActiveX controls to make complete standalone applications. A small demonstration can be downloaded from www.jesperkaae.dk/DirectMusicDemo.zip Jesper Kaae ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Sanderson" <modgeulator@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <directmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2005 4:16 AM Subject: [directmusic] Re: directmusic Digest V4 #1 > Thanks. > It's very much built around exclusively DirectMusic-ey features that can't be recreated in Flash (secondary segments, audiopaths, transposition, tempo changes, sample banks, etc, etc). I think there is some sort of plugin architecture for Flash that allows it to be extended, so there's probably some way of integrating with Flash that way. I'm no expert on Flash... > Matt > > John Glynn <johnglynn@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > That is wonderful!! I wonder if if this could be done using actionscript in > the flash?
