[directmusic] Managing DX8/DX9 issues..

So, I have a project out the door using Direct Music 8.1. Future
projects are going to use Direct Music 9. However, some files will not
load into DX8 if created in DX9, and you cannot install both DMP8 and
DMP9 on the same machine.=20
Anybody have any ideas about how I can support my older projects
while working on newer projects without needing an extra machine or
re-installing DMP every time I need to switch projects?
