Shared + Reverb use the same DirectSound buffers, so you can use as many of them as you like and not even bother with deactivating! Dynamic stereo do use each a DirectSound buffer, so yes, you should follow the same rules as for 3D audiopaths. Just dynamic stereo or shared + reverb. Should I limit count of audiopaths created in my app (share them say from some pool) or it is enough to deactivate not used audiopaths? Based on DirectX Audio Exposed book sharing is needed in order to get most value from using hardware 3D buffers, but how about non-3D audiopaths? Thanks, Vytautas
