Wow, great to hear from you.

I’m sorry for that day I have to work.

This is very important as it fits in to pedestrian safety and how it affects
people who are blind. I’d be there if I could, but if there is anything that
needs to be written in support, please let me know.

Hey Pamela

So nice to hear from you. The support group was just started, well, hasn’t
started yet, (smile)’

I think that the time you are at Braille, we’ll be doing the group. I can ask
Little Debbie if she might want to help.

Oh, also I’m gathering flyers for the Friends in Sight clinic which will be
held at St. Paul’s on the 28th of Dec. Braille has given me flyers, and I need
to make some for our chapter. That’s probably another thing we need to discuss
on our conference call.

Pamella, just so you know, we’ve been holding our meetings at Janie’s house in
Palm Desert. We probably also need to discuss that venue, and if we need to
change the day. So, there is a lot to discuss.

Take care; I’ll call you after the class graduates, or maybe after next week as
it is busy too. Screaming!!!

Hi Linda and all,

I have not heard about the support group from family services. There is a
Technology fair at Braille on Dec. 6. We are suppose to be there with the
color readers. Charlie has to go in to Orange County that day, so I will be
there by myself.Would any one like to help me demo the color readers?

I think a pot luck would be good for Xmas and less expensive. Always the
accountant!

Please let me know if there will be a conference call.

Thanks and Happy Turkey Day!

Pamela

Hi Everyone

I agree. I have been very busy with Desert Blind stuff, and of course guide dog
class.

I think we do need to have a conference call as for reelection of officers for
the next year.

Also here in Desert Hot Springs, we will be starting a support group.I think
the date for the first one is Dec. 6. I’ll send out the flyers for that.

Desert Hot Springs Family Resource center has been very supportive.

O.k., gotta run for now. Everyone enjoy your Thanksgiving, especially that we
have so much to be grateful for.

Hello everyone,

Normally I don’t postpone council meetings, but it seems since we are coming
upon thanksgiving week, it seems that most of us will be pretty busy.

For starters, Judy wants me to work with my ipad training students on the 22nd
of November, due to the fact I missed a friday in october because of the
convention. I don’t think she was happy about me attending the meeting and
insisted that I prioritize. For this reason I wouldn’t be attending the meeting.

From what I hear, debbie has to go get her hair done on that day, so I told her
there was no pressure, and she could just go get her hair done. Janie is flying
out to Seattle on Wednesday next week, so she will need to make preparations
for her trip. For this reason I agree that we either have a phone conference or
some aggreement by email discussing where and when we will be having our
christmas party. Let me know what you guys want to do about that.

My suggestion would be to either do a potluck, or go somewhere to eat, but the
potluck sounds kind of fun. let me know what you want to do.

That will do it for now. I hope to hear from the local news soon about our
mentoring program, and get this thing off the ground.

Until then, take care, and everyone have a good day.

God Bless,

Melissa Roe
