I was just looking through the Dectalk archive and see that it has just
received a shipment of Bob Prahin material. This is good stuff. I
especially like "You Are My Sunshine". Actually, Bob was the first person
who I ever heard use multiple Dectalks to sing in harmony. I heard "Have
Yourself a Mary Little Christmas" in the January 2002 Newsreel I think it
was. I actually copied it off and noise reduced it to get rid of most of
the tape hiss, but lost it in a hard disk crash several months later. But
that got me interested enough to do a Google search where I found most of
the Patrick stuff, et al. I lost that, too, in the same hard drive crash.
So just recently I was asking around to see if anybody still had all that
Patrick stuff... and I found the unofficial Dectalk archive. What a find!
Also on another topic, we're getting enough Christmas music now that we
could think of starting to put together a Dectalk Christmas album. Heh!
Well not really now that I think about it, but we do have a bit of it there.
But we've got two Christmas songs from Bob Prahin, Sam's White Christmas,
Patrick's Jingle Bells (although that is just one voice with music), and,
um, I guess that's about it. Heh.
