Good afternoon neighbors. I hope all is well and you're ready to celebrate
the last weekend of July and with cooler temps, thankfully.
Just a reminder about a few things happening in Ward 7 created with us in
mind! Save your gas and try one or all of these:
WELLderness at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens hosted by Friends of Kenilworth
Aquatic Gardens - Saturday: free live drumming performance at 2:30 by Bele
Bele Rhythm Collective and at 5:30 East of the River Steel Band
Sunday: free tai chi at 9a and yoga at 10. Register for these:

Lotus and Water Lily Festival: free ranger tours, entertainment, info for
the whole family Saturday and Sunday. Food trucks will also be in our
neighborhood selling food perfect for pairing with a blanket and a friend
or neighbor. See the schedule at go.nps.gov/lotus park open 8-8pm Saturday
for the last time this month; Sunday 8-4p
Outside of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens:
Taste of Ward 7 - much of Benning Road between Minnesota and East Capitol
NE will be closed to walk and enjoy tablers, fitness, food trucks, live
performances, plant giveaway and info and so much more! 9am to 3pm. Friends
of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens will have face painting and info around 4100
Benning Road.
