*Last Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Muriel Bowser selected Dr. Sharon Lewis as
the Interim Director of the DC Department of Health while a national search
is underway. Dr. Lewis comes from the Health Regulation and Licencing
Administration (HRLA), and is one of 6 (six) of DC Health's senior
deputies. Dr. Lewis cited "public outreach" as a priority. This, of
course, we welcome. We will extend an invitation to her for our September
meeting. In the meantime... *
*TODAY! MONDAY, August 1st at 12:00 NOON! The Health Alliance Network will
have its August meeting. After a COVID and MONKEYPOX update, we will have
a special update presentation by Anita Roach, Vice President of the Food
Allergy Research Education (FARE, Inc.). Following her presentation, we
