Hello all,

Hope everyone is well! Sorry for the delay with the weekly update email.

Below is the available produce to give away, volunteer opportunities, and
requests this week at both DPR communal farms.

  Available Produce This Week

Edgewood Rooftop Farm

  *   Crops ready
     *   Cool weather - Collards, kale, chard, mustard
     *   Warm weather - Tomatoes, peppers, okra, basil, string beans, perennial
herbs, cut flowers
  *   Weekly produce giveaways every Tuesday 11-12pm

     *   Can self-harvest during open hours (Tuesday/Thursdays 10-1pm)

Lederer Gardens

  *   Crops ready –
     *   Cool weather - collards, kale, chard
     *   Warm weather - Tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, okra, squash, string
beans, perennial herbs, cut flowers
  *   Weekly produce giveaways every Wednesday 11-12pm

     *   Can self-harvest during open hours (Monday/Wednesday 9-1pm)

Volunteer Schedule

Lederer Gardens Evening/Weekend Open Hours

We hope to announce more evening/weekend open hours soon.  If you would like to
receive updates send us an email.  Thanks!

Wednesday - Lederer - 9-1pm

  *
  *   Harvesting for the 11-12pm weekly produce giveaway
  *
  *   Planting last of Fall crops
  *
  *   Garden maintenance (weeding, watering, thinning, bug squishing, pruning,
fertilizing, etc.)

Thursday - Edgewood - 10-2pm

  *   Tree Plantings!!!
     *   We've just purchased 4 Rainer sweet cherry trees to be planted in the
Edgewood Food Forest
     *   First we have to transplant the current 4 redbuds in the food forest
to another location then we can plant those sweet cherries.  May take a few
work days.
  *   Garden maintenance (weeding, watering, thinning, bug squishing, pruning,
fertilizing, etc.)

Friday - Occasional Lederer afternoon work day

  *   Sometimes we do last second work days at Lederer on Friday afternoons
when we need to catch up on things. We usually don't plan these days till
Thursday.  If you want to receive updates on last second Friday work days send
us an email.

Weekly Request for Help

Need Help at Lederer Gardens Open Hours

We could use more help setting up the Wednesday veggie giveaway and prepping
our Fall gardens on Monday and Wednesdays 9-1pm
