Dear neighbors,
We hope that you are staying cool in this heat!
Friends of Deanwood Library will not be meeting tomorrow. We will be taking an
August recess. Mark your calendars for our next meeting on Saturday, September
11 at 10 am.
There is still time to participate in DC Public Library's summer reading
challenge, and Deanwood Library's Deanwood Summer Bingo! Both end on August 31.

Two new Little Free Libraries have also been installed on either side of
Deanwood Recreation Center and Library! Many thanks to the carpentry class at
IDEA Public Charter School, who built the little libraries, and Friends of
Capitol View Library and Deanwood's own Stamper family, who have stocked them
with books. Stop by to take a book or leave a book!
