Good Afternoon!
The DC Sentencing Commission has just released a new "Fast Facts" focused on
Carjacking offenses sentenced in the District of Columbia. Fast Facts are
intended to provide interested parties and the public a quick overview of
sentencing trends for specific felony offense and are not reflective of arrests
or cases still being processed through the court system during this same time
period. This publication includes sentencing trends, demographic information,
and Guideline compliance rates. The Commission is hopeful that sharing
information on sentencing trends within the District will help inform, as well
as educate, the public about current sentencing practices under the District's
Sentencing Guidelines.
