Efren, the Lame encoder like all such encoders will give you different quality results based on what settings you use. What bit rate are you encoding your mp3 files to? 128 was the standard about ten years ago, and sounds pretty bad. 224 or higher, especially using VBR encoding, is pretty good, and 320 is as good as you can get with the mp3 format.


If you were using a preset with lame, try the one called "insane", not just whatever it gives you as a default.
