In that case, you should definitely check out "Vintage Amp Room", I think its made by Soft Tube?


You get great sounding amps etc., and there's no pointless scrolling thru FX to drive you insane, or, make you think, "Wait a minute! I paid £400 for this, if I'm not using all these FX, I must be doing something wrong?"

That's good to hear.

I find most of the presets pretty useless, there always seems to be far too much going on, especially with verbz, delays & other drivel...

I can't stand that with products. I realize they are trying to demonstrate quickly all the functionality built into the unit or the program, but I often wonder if they would get a more positive reaction if they just got someone to design presets that really worked in musical situations.

For me, it comes down to the amp and cabinet emulations. If that isn't great, it doesn't matter how many effects you dump all over it.
