You'll need to verify that. Also, if using ASIO drivers, then the behavior
is normal. If you are using both units on the same system, then uncheck the
quad before trying to check the studio capture. In the options>audio>drivers
tab, uncheck all inputs and outputs for the quad, then check the studio
capture. That should work. If you want to use them both at the same time,
WDM/KS is what you want. Note however that you might have drifting issues
unless you sync the cards, specially since those clocks are probably not the
best.

I'm asuming, that given the fact that the studio is in the same family as
the quad it'll have the same drivers. For the quad, i'm using the acio
drivers.
I'll probably try to do the same for the studio capture aswell.

Hi, never let your interface be set as the default audio device in windows.
What types of drivers are you using? In Sonar, under audio>Advanced, what
driver type/model is set, ASIO, WDM/KS, WASAPI or MME?

The studiocapture is a roland device.
The reason why I'm asking is that I was able to check the midi inputs and
outputs in sonar, so in midi terms, the studiocapture is accepted. Yet when
I go in to the audio inputs and outputs, I can't check the studiocapture
inputs or outputs. At the moment, the quadcapture is the default
audiointerface working with sonar, but I'm intending to use it on my macbook
pro which has sonar installed on a windows bootcamp partition.

Isn't that a Roland device? It should, since Cakewalk and Roland are sort of
integrated, just like Yamaha and Steinberg... In the case of Yamaha I
believe they own steinberg, not sure about Roland owning Cakewalk though.
Anyways, what probelems are you having (if that's why you are asking).
