Hi. no I do not have automatic updates enabled.
As I mentioned in my other message, the problem seems to have gone away, for
no reason I can fathom.
I just happened to open sonar again, and it's working fine, hot spots and
all.

Hey sounds like a possible fs video driver problem, usually reinstalling
jaws, after uninstalling everything, including shared components fixes this
issue. Do you have automatic updates enabled? It might have updated your
video card drivers without you knowing...

Hi. okay, so I can rule out a j sonar/hsc/patch issue then?
Oddly enough, it's not just in sonar where this is happening now. It's
happening in internet explorer and in other apps too. Like where you go
into a combo box and it says 3 of 4 for example, but doesn't actually read
what you're on. Even when you take it out of forms mode, it still sees the
field as blank.
The only thing I've done in the past few days is install this patch. Any
idea what might be causing this?
I went through all my display settings and they are all as they should be.

Cameron, as I am sure your aware, there are a number of individuals around
who are involved in beta testing Sonar patches before they become publicly
available. I can assure you that nun of the issues that your experiencing,
are being experienced by said individuals. I suspect the issue is unique to
your system. This isn't the first time you have reported issues with your
system is it? Big smile! I will also add that from an accessibility stand
point, this is probably one of the most feature rich patches to date.

Hi. yes, point taken, I posted there as well. But, not sure if this is a
sonar issue in general with jaws, not just the particular script package
being used.

Since Jsonar competes with Cake Talking, it's probably not the most polite

Hi all. Using Win xp pro, jaws ten, j sonar, hsc, (latest version of both),
and sonar 8.5.2.
After installing the patch, things have gone to hell in a handbasket. None
of my hot spots work, I can't read any fields in any dialogues, even the
save as or export dialogues, etc.
All of my settings from sonar 8.5.1 are the same.
Whenever you try to use a hot spot command, it says hot spot failed, window
could not be found. (even though I am in the correct window, like the
dimension pro properties dialogue for example.)
And no text fields work. Not even the modify tempo box.
Is this just a case of waiting for the j sonar and hsc cats to catch up? Or
is this a larger issue?
I'm assuming I can't just uninstall the update correct?
Oh and by the way, my display settings have not been changed so that's not
it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
