Greg hardly never use 32 bit here, however if you have bought the sfz player you will need sonar 32bit for it to use sound fonts.

Hey Jack me too I think it works best that way because of sfz and dimension pro.

absolutely not one can install in to 32bit and 64bit if you so choose. have it here and have had it this ways for quite some time.

Hi,

A friend of mine installed sonar as 64 bit in is windows 7 64 bit machine.

First question. is the folowing text the most updated regarding the dancing dots instalation recommendation?

At this time, CakeTalking can install into SONAR'S 32 bit version, but it can not install if you have SONAR'S 64 bit version. So, if you have 64 bit Windows, like Vista 64 bit, you must install SONAR as a 32 bit program. Exact instructions for picking SONAR'S 32 bit version from the SONAR installer, are provided in this document.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

well, i dont understand this, since my friend instal in a windows 7 64 bit machine only the 64 bit version with both recommended patches, than he instaled cake talking.

this means that the setup files instructions are not up to date?

Or, to instal sonar 64 bit, he must instal the 32 bit than the 64 bit?

The only probllem he is having is some bug regarding sound card drives i suppose, since if he choose to play Jaws in the external soundcard, if he playbacks sonar, sonar will give a error message, disables the soundcard outputs, only jaws keeps talking.strange!

any idea? thanks.

Rui
