Go in to Skype, and uncheck the box that automatically makes your settings, and then make your audio settings again.
Hope this helps a little!

I don't think you want it on line in or mic. You want the other option which
is your system mixer. This applies only if you are recording the sound
that's going in to your soundcard though, as in coming from your computer.
If you're connected via line in then obviously its line in you want. I can't
understand possibly why it wouldn't work if you've checked the line in box
on the volume control panel.

Best of luck.

Dave

Claudio,

I've not seen anyone else try to help. But with no Sonar or XP my suggestion
may seem trivial. How about you recover your setup prior to installing
Skype? I think with XP there is the capability to revert back to previous
configuration jut for that reason? Rather drastic, but you may be in a
drastic mood right now.

Hi!
I need help. Till know I was able to record miditracks to an audiotrack and
export audio to a wavefile. I never had to bother, it just kindly worked for
me. Since I installed skype, it doesn't work anymore. The installation of
skype asked to let it configure the mic, which I unfortunately accepted. Now
Sonar, insteed of recording my miditracks records my wife and me talking
together. It's not exactly what I want. So I selected line-in in the windows
sound settings, so microphone is turned off. But recording miditracks in
sonar doesn't work.
What could be wrong with my settings? I'm runing sonar4, JAWS5x or JAWS6x,
WinXP.
Please, please help, I need playbacks for my pupils.
Kindly
Claudio Sacco
