Right, we do offer removable hard drives as an option for our systems. See http://www.dancingdots.com/prodesc/workstations.htm for details. In the old days, clients would want to take their master, two-inch open reel master with them. Then studios started giving people DAT tapes. Now clients just want to take the entire session home with them on their own hard drive which can be ghosted and kept in two safe locations to avoid catastrophe. On a live situation you would probably be recording 24 tracks. Of coarse, using a giant hard drive. But what if you were recording a festival, where the bands have brakes, but not the recording? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Satauna Howery" <sthowery@xxxxxxx> To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, November 25, 2005 11:17 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: recording in sonar > Frank, even musicians have to take a break! *smile* If I were > recording a live concert, I would break each set up into its own > project file.
