Yo.
Ok got it. So it would be better to use a mike and the picup. Now I have a question about the pickup. What should I use as my slave volume. Let me explain, my pickup on my cordova has the volume and other knobs to control the bass and all the rest of the variables, and my sound card also has a volume control knob. Should i have the pickup volume up and use the sound card volume knob to use for the recording or should I have the sound card up and use the knob on the pickup to control volume? Thanks guys.

Hi:
Well, in my oppinion you still canâ??t beat using mics to record an acoustic guitar. If you have the available tracks, you can use two mics in an x/y pattern and mix it with the electric pickup signal. I just did this with my Yamaha electric acoustic and it sounds great. You really will need to play around with mic positioning etc.

Hi all,
Many over here with a quick question. When recording an acoustic guitar, is it better to use a microphone or the pickup on it. Does it make a difference when recording an acoustic strum compared to lead rifts.
