Actually, my goal is, once my songs are converted to
audio, I want to get the music onto a cd. So, what I
should have asked is; is Sound Forge necessary in
order for me to get these files onto a cd?

sonar replaces the need for a good sound editing
program. Just my personal
opinion, but I suppose it depends on what you plan
to do specifically.
