The a7's are very popular though. you could probably find a used pair for not much at all.
One thing to test though are the ports. Create a test file sweeping through the bass frequencies and listen for any odd resonances or other noise when you play the test at high volumes. An initial run of A7's had port noise and ringing issues. I got a pair of those. They quickly fixed it, but not many people were bothered enough to return their speakers, so there are probably a lot of them out there.
and for the record, a regular cotton sock stuck into each port completely fixed the issue. it just looks a little odd to the uninformed. *LOL*
