Novation provide a software development kit for AutoMap. I had the V3 version, but there were some problems with the sample code and I was pushed for time, so couldn't mess around with it. I'll see if I can get hold of the V4 SDK and see if things have improved, as the basic software architecture would make it relatively simple to create an AutoMap reader, similar to the Mackie Display Reader I'm working on. Best wishes. I had one but got really frustrated with the auto map 3, and ended up returning it. It's a pity because they're so close. I'm in touch with them every so often and hope for more in the future. haven't looked at automap 4 so don't know if they've done anything more with accessibility. Why not write and ask? If you have sighted assistance or low vision, you can use Automap in conjunction with Sonar's track templates to make lots of stuff more useful. I strongly suggest that more of us write to Novation and impress upon them the potential value of the Automap system to the blind if it were just a little more screenreader friendly. Novation just put out new controller keyboards called impulse. 25, 49 and 61 key keyboards with aftertouch no less, usb powered and using auto map 4. Info says they can support sonar. 9 faders, 8 knobs, assignable buttons and 8 drum pads, too. The 61 key is in the $300 price range. Has anybody tried the automap stuff and is it accessible? Wonder if this kind of controller would be a benefit to us? -- Damon Fibraio aim: dfibraio: msn dfibraio@xxxxxxxxxxx, skype dfibraio personal music site: http://www.keyboardguy.com band info: Days Before Tomorrow http://www.daysbeforetomorrow.com twitter @daysb4tomorrow and on facebook as days before tomorrow visions www.visionsbandnj.com, twitter @VisionsBandNJ and facebook as visions Find me on facebook as Damon fibraio or twitter as @dfibraio _____ No virus found in this message.
