OK, solved the drop-out problem, it was the file bit depth as
expected, but now I'm having a problem where the peak meter levels
aren't showing on the tracks. I have enabled them with control-double
F2, but I'm still getting no level registered either in the track/bus
column where they should be, or by pressing F2. As far as I can tell
from reading the CakeTalking manual, I have everything configured
correctly. These tracks are imported .wav files that I've brought
into a project.
