God bless you.

Driza ! Are you saying the MPC 1000 is accessible with some nob turn and
screen memorization?

Either way, everyone should check out this youtube video. This guy goes
diggin for records to sample at the record shop and then brings them back to the lab and cuts the samples and makes magic with his MPC. For real though,
this is one of the best youtube videos I've come across on any level.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V6z7BKiaCw
Chec it and let me know if making music with an MPC is possible for blind
folks or is it not really gonna happen.

I've got a good list of youtube videos of producers like Cut Chemist and
Pete Rock making beats and cutting tracks with their mpc if anyone is
interested I could send the links.. The link above is my fave though for
sure.

Thanks Tim,

I Mistakenly thought the Motif tutorial email was from someone who
wasn't aware that there are people on the email list who can't see at
all.

I foolishly resisted moving over to softsynths and the like for years.
everything I used I memorised, Korg T3 Work Station, four Modules,
Three effect units, compressors, Real to Real, Dat players and
Creator on the Atari 1040. I understood all the systems better than
the guys who sold them to me.
I memorised every single screen. I used to show people how to record
to anolog real to real with symti and how you could have the
sequencer in time with your anolog recordings.
This is all giving my Age away.
The reason for me saying this is: Caketalking is incredible! It's
great to be able to keep your mind on the music without wishing you
had the IQ of a NASA Scientist, although, I truly believe some of you
guys could work for NASA.

Hi,I wouldn't stress
Over this - it just goes to show that accessibility is a somewhat
nebulous term and that a method that works for some doesn't work for
all. If it makes you feel any better, I'm rubbish at working things
by remembering patterns of button presses with no feedback.

Best wishes.

Hi all,

Darren H just informed me that a lot of the musicians on this site
use the Motif? talk about putting my big foot in it?
Well truly against the ropes, I must say, it was the Yamaha RM1X
more than the Motif that used to fry my Brain.
The RM1X is a Dance Station accessible by counting cursor positions,
counting clicks on knobs and all that Jazz.
I use to use it mainly as a sequencer.

The Motif I used was the rack Version, not two many of the buttons
were dual function so it wasn't too hard to navigate.

Please don't tell me there are RM1X fans on this site?
I'm beginning to feel like Ricky Hatton.

Hi all,

Regarding tutorials for the Motif, it's a real brain drainer!
remembering all the Pages and having to count cursor movements and
values.

I'm proud to say, thanks to you guys at DD I'm able to put my Motif
in the loft.

Goodnight Motif.
