Messagei can't help you much because i have never used that keyboard, but if
you already checked instrument defs and track output, and midi channel, and
track midi input, and the input echo is on ,then
check your audio connections, sometimes i have gone crazy looking for
solutions inside the computer and then i find that my keyboard had the power
off or that my mixer channel was all the way down or something like that
.----- it can happen to everyone eventually.
i hope it helps, good luck

I'm not using midi, I'm using the USB connection. All the outputs and inputs
are set.

    omar:
i don't think the problem is your sonar instrument definitions. iyou should
check your midi connections and your midi output configurations in sonar.

I'm not sure I follow you. How do I fix it? The Motif banks and patches
are appearing.

        Omar:
You are probably sending select messages to your motif for banks that
were meant for the Roland. If you try to access a bank that doesn't exist, you
probably won't hear anything.

          Hi Everyone:

I just reinstalled a motif to use it with sonar. I did all the usual
stuff; ins def files, outputs, inputs, etc. I'm not getting any sound however.
When I went to delete the ins def files for my roland xv5080 which I'm not
longer using with sonar, a message came up that said "these instruments are
still being used by one or more ports, do you still want to delete them?" I
clicked on okay, but I'm still getting no sound from the motif.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
