in your midi input and output check list, do you see the in and out ports of
your midi interface? In your question below, you mention an audio interface.
Did you mean to refer to a midi interface?

I'm connecting the motif es6 via midi to record into sonar. I'm going midi
out from the motif to the midi in of my audio interface. What should i check
and uncheck in the midi devices inputs and outputs in sonar? i'm not getting
any sound right now.
