MessageHi Dave,

I know so little about the technology, thought it best to ask you guys on this
list.

Today I've been following the advice from Jim Jackson and pressing windows key
and B, hearing drive names in the system tray and hearing Jaws say safe to
remove, it's that security that puts my mind at rest.

I pull mine out all the time. As long as the file is copied and/or the
application is completed, there's no problem. Your friend probably pulled one
out during a file copy and messed it up.

Just close all files running on the stick and close out to the desktop
and that should probbly do it, I guess.

        Hi all,

This may be the dumbest question I've asked and I'm fully aware I've
asked a few Dum questions in the passed.
I've been told that before removing a memory stick from the USB, you
must close it down or something like that to protect it.
I'm moving MP3 files from one computer to another and switching off
each computer every time before removing the memory stick.
How do I remove the memory stick without damaging it whilst still
leaving the computers on?
