Hi. Image for dos is the restore part of image for windows. If I understand your question rightly no, you can't use it other than as a part of image for windows. As to your question about a screenreader the answer is also no. Windows screenreaders require windows to operate, and, even should you have an old dos screenreader you wouldn't have dos installed, so couldn't use it.

Hi, is immage for doss useable at all since its dealing with doss? I
need to know this incase i need to restore an immage made from IFW.
Or, does anyone know if bart PE is useable with some kind of screen
