Hi folks.

I just got myself an iLok 2 because a plug-in required it, and wanted to also transfer all my licenses from my original iLok to the new one.

The iLok site refused to see either iLok, trying both Firefox 4.0 and Internet Explorer 8 64-bit. I tried reinstalling drivers, still no luck. Looking online, I find many many reports from people reporting the same thing, IE 9, Chrome, Firefox 4, all not working with the iLok site. For the Mac people, apparently Safari does work.

The fix? Unfortunately, you have to either go back to Firefox 3.6 or, and easier fix is running the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer, found here:
c:\Program Files(x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

You may want to add a shortcut to your desktop for that.

If running older Firefox or 32-bit Internet Explorer doesn't work, try doing the following registry edit: To over-ride ActiveX Installations in IE8, you need to set the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (or HKEY_CURRENT_USER)\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_RESTRICT_ACTIVEXINSTALL\iexplore.exe= 0x00000001

So to do the above you open regedit.exe, go to the folder listed above, and if iexplore.exe isn't there you create a new "DWORD" entry named iexplore.exe
and change its value from 0 to 1.

Hopefully you won't need to do that though.

Chris
