[ddots-l] having trouble with autotune five and the midi

hello,
I am trying to use autotune5 as a midi but it doesn't work. heres what
I am doing:
1. insert the autotune5 audio effect in the effects bin of an audio track.
2. turn on target notes via midi inside of autotune5.
3. configure the plugin as a soft synth.
4. delete the effect from the track bin of the audio track.
5. rescan VSts.
6. go in to the softsynths menu inside of the context menu of my
track, and theres no autotune option!
can annyone help me with this problem? step-by-step, if you can?
