You learned, "Never Assume" and it is often the Lowest Level things we take
forgranted which are the first things to be checked out in troubleshooting.
(grin) How many times does it turn out that the speaker wall wart has fallen
half out of the powerstrip, or, scanner got disconnected from the USB cable
that
my end-users have...

I guess it's just one of the things that happen when changing sound cards. When
I was using the Delta 1010 with my midi
sport 2x2, I didn't have to assign midi in ports. it was already there. After I
installed my FW I still didn't have any problems. I
guess something got messed up when I tried to delete those plugins. I must
admit that I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't
think to check my midi in put ports. It just goes to show what a creature of
habit I am. Since I never had to worry about midi in
put ports before, I assumed that I would not have to worry about them now.

All sorted out now. Neville hadn't selected the right MIDI in port.

Have you tried rescanning your plug-ins. Make sure that scan all plug-ins is
checked when you go to the options dialog in the
plug-in manager under vst.

I have a question for all you sonar and caketalking gurus. actually it's more
of an emergency. I had some in active plugins on
my system that I tried to remove. I whish I had just left
well enough alone, because now dimension pro, Psim2 and maybe some other
plugins are not loading.
I opened the plug-in manager arrowed to the desired plugin then I tabbed over
to the remove button. ever since then I've had this
problem. I'm not sure
what to do. I really need help. The only plugins that work are the etoral TTS
SFZ and Pentigon. I really don't know what
happened because the undesired
plugins are still listed along with the ones that are not loading.
