Depending on what synths you have, you either have to route the audio of a
hardware synth to the input of an audio track on your audio interface, or
use a soft synth. Assuming you have the TTS1, simply record one measure
with the downbeat on one drum sound, say a high woodblock, and the other
beats on another sound, say a low woodblock. Make sure that the downbeats
are at a velocity of 127 and the other beats are at a lesser velocity such
as 100. Record four bars more than you expect to need. On the downbeats of
these extra bars, duplicate the high woodblock with a high tom for the
downbeat of 1 for the first three bars, and a floor tom for the downbeat of
one of the fourth bar. That lets you separate your count in from your
track.
You need only enter one measure and then copy that measure for the
number of measures you'll need in the project. Assuming you have used the
TTS1, you can then freeze the audio track and then export that to a new .wav
file, or, you can select the MIDI and audio track of the TTS1 and bounce
them to a new track which you can then export to a wave file. If you have
never brought tracks to a session in another studio, you should definitely
put a 2pop at the head of each track so that when they are imported into the
new host, they all line up. A 2pop is a little pop sound that you will hear
at the beginning of each track if you have one.
If you have Skype and need immediate help, I'm kevjazz and I'm here now.

Subject: [ddots-l] click track

Hi all, this seems like a simple question but I don't have the answer.
I'm taking tracks of a project to some body elses studio to do some mixing
and they want me to bring along the tracks and add a click track. I can
export the tracks seperately but can't figure how to make a click track.
Can anyone help.
I'd appreciate it, thanks.
 Best, Tom
