Did you use the reverb in Aux or in the individual track?

Subject: [ddots-l] changing the level of effects non destructive in sonar 4.03

Hello: I have chosen one of sonar's normal files and done a short
audio track with sonar reverb effects. I am on track 17 which is audio. I
am inserting effects non destructively. I want to reduce the level of the
reverb and though I could do it in the sends. In all the sends I have
enabled the bus aux send and changed the levels in the bus aux sends to
minus and plus numbers, I have used pre and post fader positions.
Unfortunately, the level of the effects will not change. In fact, the
sends do nothing. I know I'm doing something wrong but can't figure out
what. any help would be appreciated. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Eagle" <onlineeagle@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

HI, I've listened to the files and would say a definite no to any
noise reduction or gating. You might want to try something like
smooth compression in sound forge, as the dynamics are very dramatic.
This is fine when there is no background noise, but the conductor
wasn't very audible and I had to turn him up. The timpani cuts through
the mix a bit in terms of the lower frequencies. Its not too
distracting however, but you may wish to consider a little bit of
frequency modification, with with EQ. Other than that it sounded
great.
