BlankWell here's the thing. I'm also using the motif xs on other tracks, but 
when you insert a softsynth, doesn't it have its own midi channels? Also, I did 
try changing the midi channel on the track and it didnt do anything.

  Okay I have another softsynth issue. I inserted a softsynth into a sonar 
file. When I play the synth from the midi track that was originally inserted 
with it, it plays fine. However, when I try and change the output of another 
midi track to that softsynth, I get no sound.
