OK, when you insert the synth, you know the midi track that is inserted with
it? Change the output of that track to something else like the sound card's
midi out or something, if it has data in it mute it, then take the track
that you want coming out of that synth and set the output to the synth, and
set banks/patch data.  Or else, when you insert the synth, just uncheck the
midi track box, and only the audio track will be inserted, then set the
other midi track's output to the synth...let me know if you get it/if you
understand what I mean...

Not sure what you mean. are you refering to the original midi track of that
synth, or the audio track?

Did you change the other track, the original one, so that just 1 is set to
output to the synth?

Are you setting the middi track properties, like are you selecting the
channel bank/patch???

Okay I have another softsynth issue. I inserted a softsynth into a sonar
file. When I play the synth from the midi track that was originally inserted
with it, it plays fine. However, when I try and change the output of another
midi track to that softsynth, I get no sound.
