Don't know why I didn't just use the 24 track one but planned on going simple.

well, you're so welcome, sometimes I use this feature when adding tracks to
projects which needs more than 8 tracks, it depends on what I'm going to record.

well, here's what I do.
if I have choosen a template with 8 tracks, I can go with alt+i to the
insert menu, then press the letter P, then you will get in to a dialoge
called insert multiple tracks, and there, you can choose to insert both midi
and audio tracks, and you can insert as many tracks as you want, but the limit
is 32 tracks,
is it only audio tracks you're working with or both midi and audio tracks?
