  You got me there. If you're looking for just vocoder kinds of sounds, perhaps 
they would fit your needs. The VP-550 and VP-770, (I think that's the correct 
model number), will give you choirs - plus the ability to take your voice and 
simulate choirs from it along with being able to use it as a vocoder. It's 
quite a piece.

  Someone mentioned that it's a keyboard, but it's totally midi compatible.

    I'm also looking at the pedals offered by tc helicon that do vocoding, and 
guitar fx, etc. Do you know if those are as versitile as a vocoder keyboard?
