The clips pane hasn't gone anywhere. It's nothing to do with anything Cakewalk have or, have not
done. It's because David hasn't implimented it yet in CT for Sonar 5.

I figured the Clips Pane was gone because Cake Walk modified something that broke the Cake Talking scripts. Hats off to David and anyone else working hard to improve this product.
