Yes. You're connected to the comp via midi. I'm not sure why the notes are
sticking the way you say they are. I also have a fantom x, and I dont have that
problem.

Omar,
I'm not sure how to answer your question about USB and midi. there is a
cluster of cables that goes into the M Delta Audio sound card. Two of them
connect with the cables that go to the midi in and out of the keyboard. the
other two are for audio, but Gord said I won't need them. My keyboard,
computer, and stereo system are all connected to the Mackie 1202 mixer. Does
this answer your question?
