You can still use your balanced cables. I do that here. I use a couple of headphone extension that have a single balanced jack and two sockets on. the cables coming off my monitors and headphone amp are all balanced. I bought two y cables as unfortunately the FW-1884 only spits out audio on outputs 1 and 2. Then, I plugged one Y cable into the left output and the second Y cable into the right output. I then connected my left studio monitor and the left side of the headphone amp to the left Y cable and the right studio monitor and the right headphone cable from the headphone amp to the Y cable coming out of the right hand output [output 2] on the FW-1884. Alternatively, you could send out the audio via SPDIF if you have anything that can receive SPDIF.
