Steve, Any way you can run a restore to an earlier date before you first changed the resolution? If you can use JAWS to open the control panel then I'm assuming you can use JAWS to launch restore and select an earlier date. I don't even get the chance to make changes. When I move to the Settings tab of the Display dialog in Control Panel, bingo, instant freeze. It doesn't matter whether I do it by moving across the tab line with the arrow keys or physically click on the word "Settings" or press CTRL+TAB to get there. Either way, landing on that page causes the freeze-up. PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
