Yes. You probably got a stereo male quarter inch to two rca mono on the
other end. You don't want that.

I purchased 4 cables, attempting to follow the specs you gave me, (a quarter inch plug on one end, and an RCA plug on the other). Yesterday I opened the packages and my brother-in-law tried to make sense of the specs I gave him on how they needed to be connected. when I looked at them later, I discovered that they are split on one end; For each cable, there are 2 ends with RCA plugs, and the strands converge into 1 quarter inch plug. I understood you to say that there should be only 1 strand, with a quarter inch plug on one end, and one RCA plug on the other end. Is this correct? I just want to make sure.
