Can an audio fikle be saved an a Rex file? Kevin: If youhave an audio project that has been recorded without a click, for example, you will need to add marks at appropriates to let sonar know what bar and beat you really are on. What I do is to set my initial tempo as close as I can to the beginning of the song. Keep the audio click on during playback. WHen it starts to go awry, Adjust the now time to fall exactly on the desired beat, then press control M to open the set measrue and beat dialog. Make sure that the bar and beat is actually what you want, then press enter. Your tempo will be adjusted accordingly. Depending on the overall stability of the performance, you may need to do this quite a few times. Of course, if you have amulti track session with a solid kikc drum or some other solid percussion instrument you can use the audio snap feature, which is similar to Pro tools' beat detective. I read the following from the cake talking manual, and it sparked a question. Snip Note however, if your project already has audio in it, you can't change the tempo using the Tempo dialog. It only works in purely MIDI projects. End of snip.. How then would you change the tempo in a purely audio session. What if you were using rex loops and such and you wanted to speed them up. Or I was given some wav files from a client and I wanted to set my tempo to match their bpm to make grid mode editing much easier. Is there a way to change tempos in a purely audio project? Thanks Kevin
