Oh no, you still will have the sonitus suite of effects and the pantheon
reverb. What other effects were you using? The old cakewalk effects from
versions before sonar 4 really aren't worth the trouble in my oppinion.

Thank Gordon, but what about the synths and effects? Does Sonar 6 recognise
the effects on Sonar 4? If not, can I export them all and reimport them? I
guess the simple question is this: Do I need to reinstall every plugin and VST
or not?

  Many thanks,
  Christopher

    Hello:
I think that they were refering to a situation where you might want to
reinstall sonar 6 after previously installing it. Sonar 4 and sonar 6 will not
install over each other. They will exist side by side on your system as two
separate programs.

Hi, Can anyone tell me something about going from Sonar 4 to Sonar 6. I
have now purchased Caketalking 6 and Sonar 6 but when I was reading the
Cakewalk install instructions they said one should NOT install over an existing
installation and said one should install fresh and reinstall all plugins and
VSTs. I was hoping to find a way to do it without having to reinstall all of
the VSTs and plugins. Does anyone have any info on this??

      Thanks,
      Christopher
